packing

Since I got work all day tomorrow and on sunday I'll be busy going to a flea market and making pancakes, I decided to pack my bags for London already. I'll be leaving sunday night with the cheapest option available: a bus. It's highly uncomfortable and it takes a while (8 hours!), but it's half the price of a Eurostar-ticket.

It wasn't hard at deciding which clothes to wear, since all we'll be having according to the weather forecast is rain, rain, rain; so comfortable is the best option. Think trenchcoat, black pants and loafers. And of course, my faithful friend: the umbrella.

Guess I'll be having some traditional English weather, huh?

midnight in paris

I most recently watched Midnight in Paris and absolutely loved it! Although I'm not a big fan of Owen Wilson in most movies, so it was kind of a surprise for me. Marion Cotillard was just gorgeous. Also enjoyed the scenery and costumes quite a bit, and it was a very cute story. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth giving a chance!

young blood

Well the last couple of days I have just been enjoying having the day off and being lazy. I've been reading a lot in the back yard drinking Dr Pepper and reading / listening to music as long as the sun is still there (it gets pretty cold in the evenings, it's obviously not summer yet). I made a playlist for spring and you can check it out here if you feel the need to find some new tunes!

If you know any bands that are worth checking out, let me know!

London

Next sunday I'll be leaving for a three-day trip to London, also the first vacation my boyfriend and I will be spending together (while we have a lot more on the list, including Barcelona this summer). If you have any tips of things I should be exploring, let me know!

I'm back!

My exams are over, finally! Time for fun plans, enjoying the nice weather, and catching up on my social life. I did some inbetween shopping (guilty as charged).

I also bought a Rock Werchter ticket, which is surprising because I always complain it's too expensive and haven't been since I was 16. The line-up did it for me this year though (the xx, florence + the machine, the cure) and since I work two days a week I make enough money, so I figured, why not?

summer wishlist

I have my history exam tomorrow so I should be studying, but during my break I couldn't help myself but dream of summer and make a wishlist...

I got exams next week so I've been kinda busy and you shouldn't expect too many updates the next couple of weeks, but I'll make it up afterwards. Sorry for the hazy photographs by the way, I used my phone-camera and it isn't always the greatest quality

my week with marilyn

I just watched My Week with Marilyn and I have to say, the images and colours used in the movie were very beautiful and Michelle Williams looks ravishing as Marilyn Monroe, but the story doesn't do it for me since it's completely unbelievable and I couldn't bond with the main character at all.  Emma Watson looked very cute in her small role though!
